JLM Engineering® free eccentricity vibrating screens are the ultimate solution for material separation in a variety of industrial applications. Designed under parameters of versatility, efficiency and robustness, our screens are ideal for heavy work, intermediate classifications and final finishes.
Material screening is a process used in various industries to separate solid particles of different sizes. This process is essential in the classification and preparation of materials for further use in manufacturing, construction, agriculture, mining and other industrial areas.
Broadly speaking, materials screening involves passing a mixture of solid particles through a perforated surface or mesh. Smaller particles can pass through the holes, while larger particles are retained on the surface of the sieve. This process is based on the difference in size between solid particles and allows the material to be classified into fractions of different sizes.
The importance of JLMIngenieria® screens and mod. CV in mining applications
JLMIngenieria® screens play an essential role in the crushing production circuit in the mining industry, where they are responsible for several key functions that contribute to the efficiency and productivity of the process. It is essential to analyze and study the best location, the necessary functions and requirements before designing and manufacturing it. At JLMIngenieria® we study the integration of each of the screens, calculating all the parameters of the final production process.
The JLM Ingenieria® screens mod. CV are integrated into the crushing production circuit in mining applications:
- Screening after primary crushing: Once the material has been crushed in the primary stage, the JLMIngenieria® screens and mod. CV are used to classify crushed material into different size fractions. This is crucial to ensure that the crushed material meets the size specifications required for subsequent stages of the process. Screens remove oversized particles and ensure that only appropriately sized material moves to the next stage.
- Recirculation of material: In some cases, some of the crushed material may be recirculated for a second crushing if it does not meet the required size specifications. The JLMIngenieria® and mod.CV screens are used to separate the recirculated material from the fresh material and classify it before crushing it again. This helps maximize the use of resources and optimize the efficiency of the crushing process.
- Closed-circuit screening: In applications where high precision is required in the classification of crushed material, closed screening circuits can be used. This involves the use of screens located after each crushing stage to classify the material into different size fractions. The classified material is recirculated or sent to the next stage of the process, while the unclassified material is returned to the corresponding crushing stage.
The JLMIngenieria® screens and mod. CV also have an important role in the quality of the final product, by separating waste (sterile) material in the primary stage and preventing its entry into the crusher, removing loose material from primary and secondary crushing, etc.
